The Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association (HKAAA) aims to be one of the best National Sports Association in Hong Kong. Our works focus on the development of athletes, coaches, technical officials and professional staffs, so as to enhance the image and performance of Hong Kong athletics, and to make athletics to become the sport of most participation.

Reviewing the first year of Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon, the event was took place from Hong Kong to Shenzhen and there were 1,076 participants. The number of participants reaches its highest participation rate every year. For the previous year, the number of participants was 64,253 participants. Not only the local participants support the race, but also thousands of overseas distance runners come to challenge themselves annually. The Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon is recognized as the M-Mark Sporting Events by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and it is highly supported and beloved by the citizens of Hong Kong.
