STANDARD CHARTERED HONG KONG MARATHON 2009
10KM RUN 3 CATEGORY IS NOW FULL

The Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association (HKAAA) announced today that the 10km Run 3 (Start Time: 6:30am) of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2009 is now closed for entry due to overwhelming public response. 

The organiser will continue to receive entries for the six other category races, including the Full Marathon, Half Marathon Challenge, Half Marathon Run 1, 10km Challenge, 10km Run 1 and 10km Run 2. However spaces are limited and HKAAA would like to urge all runners who are interested in participating in this annual sporting event to submit their applications as early as possible.

The early bird entry fee deadline for all races will still apply until 31 October 2008 with a fee of HK$270 for local runners and HK$290 for overseas runners. Thereafter until 31 December 2008, the entry fee will increase to HK$320 and HK$340 respectively.

As a result of the year on year participation increase, the entry quota for the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2009 has been raised to 55,000 to allow more runners to participate in this major sporting event in Hong Kong. 

Entry forms are available at the HKAAA office (Room 2015, Olympic House, 1 Stadium Path, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong) and all Standard Chartered Bank branches in Hong Kong.
