Standard Chartered SME Marathon Cup 2012
The SME Marathon Cup continues this year as we encourage SME and chambers to nominate their staff and members to race against SME rivals amid the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon.
Rules
Each team must be nominated by a registered company and consists of 2 runners. It can also be composed of 1 – 2 staff runners plus a Standard Chartered SME Banking Relationship Manager. Each company can nominate more than one team, up to a maximum of 75 teams. If the team has selected to add a SME Banking Relationship Manager as its "Running Partner", only the team's best 2 out of 3 runners' time will be used for calculating the winning result.
All runners in a team must choose to run the same race (10km, Half Marathon or Full Marathon), but can enroll in different categories (e.g. Junior, Senior, Master, etc.).
Run
for Charity
Standard Chartered launched the "Seeing is Believing" global fundraising campaign in 2003, with the aim of eye restoration and eye care education in developing countries. Driven by the passion of our staff, customers, business partners and communities, Seeing is Believing has raised over US$37 million and impacted over 25 million people across 23 countries. Now entering its next phase, Seeing is Believing aims to raise a total of US$100 million (including the existing US$37 million) by 2020.
In Hong Kong, Standard Chartered has partnered with ORBIS International and raised HK$30 million since 2003 for their eye restoration and eye care education projects of ORBIS in China. Accordingly, all proceeds raised by the Standard Chartered SME Marathon Cup will be donated to ORBIS.
No matter you are a runner or not, we welcome your generous support! Every dollar donated to Seeing is Believing will be matched by Standard Chartered – doubling the impact of your donation. Let's make a difference the world can see!
