[24 October 2017] Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2018 Opens Registration for “Charity Entry”, “Family Run” and “Youth Dash” by Mail on 25 October

 

HONG KONG (24 October 2017) – Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2018 announced the new registration and payment arrangement for “Charity Entry”, “Family Run” and “Youth Dash”. Public can download the entry forms on the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon official website (www.hkmarathon.com) and register by returning the completed entry form with a crossed cheque for the related entry fee by mail on a first-come, first-served basis. Details of the arrangement are as follows.

 

 

“Charity Entry” Registration Details:

Starting Date and Time:

25 October 2017 (Wednesday) (first come, first served)

Finishing Date and Time:

1 November 2017 (Wednesday) – 5:00p.m.

Amount:

HK$1,500 per head (includes HK$348 race entry fee, and a donation of HK$1,152. The donation will be equally donated to the three Official Beneficiaries)

Applicable Races:

Marathon, Half Marathon and 10KM Races

 

Official Marathon Charities

  • “Seeing is Believing”, Standard Chartered’s global initiative to prevent avoidable blindness    (the local beneficiary is Orbis)
  • The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society
  • The Hong Kong Paralympic Committee & Sports Association for the Physically Disabled

 

“Family Run” Registration Details:

Starting Date and Time:

25 October 2017 (Wednesday) (first come, first served)

Finishing Date and Time:

13 November 2017 (Monday) – 5:00p.m.

Enrolment Quota:

3,000

Entry fee:

HK$180 per head

Categories:

1KM “Family Run”: All team members must be aged 6 or above (participants aged 18 or below must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above)

 

400M “Love From Past Life Run”: Each team must have at least one child aged 5 or below, accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

“Youth Dash” Registration Details:

Remarks:

-       All entries will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice.

-       The entry form and cheque for “Charity Entry” reached later than 1 November (Wednesday), 5:00p.m will not be processed; while the entry form and cheque for “Family Run” and “Youth Dash”reached later than 13 November (Monday), 5:00p.m will not be processed.

-       Registration is available by mail only. Applications from other sources will not be processed.

 

All applicants will receive an SMS by 17 November to confirm if their registration is successful or not.The Organizer will return the completed registration form and cheque to those unsuccessful applicants.  If you don’t receive any SMS by 17 November 2017 or if you have any other enquiries, please contact the Marathon Secretariat at (852) 2577 0800, available from Monday to Friday 9:30am - 8:00pm; Saturday 9:30am – 1:00pm (Closed on Sundays, public holidays, Typhoon No.8 /Black Rainstorm or above).
