HONG KONG (10 October 2017) – The “Charity Entry” of the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon introduced last year received great support from runners, in the view of this, the related quota will be doubled up to 600 this year. Local and overseas runners can raise funds for the charity organisations while enjoying the Race. The registration for “Charity Entry” will begin on the Marathon’s official website at 10:00a.m., Monday, 16 October 2017, on a first-come, first-served basis. Successful applicants will receive a special-edition race bib.
There has been overwhelming response for the Race so far, with more than 116,000 applications through the public ballot entry system, since registration began. Runners who still wish to participate in this year’s event can take this opportunity to register via the “Charity Entry” category.

Starting Date and Time: 16 October 2017 (Monday) – 10:00a.m.
Finishing Date and Time: 6 November 2017 (Monday) – 7:00p.m.
Amount: HK$1,500 (includes HK$350 race entry fee, and a donation of HK$1,150. The donation of HK$1,150 will be equally donated to the three Official Beneficiaries)
Applicable Races: Marathon, Half Marathon and 10KM
Runners and non-runners can also make donations to and raise funds for the Marathon’s charities through the dedicated portal (www.hkmarathoncharity.com).
